Updates

Momma Lyra was adopted on August 31!

Lyra is a very sweet and easy gal! She is typically most happy when she's curled up next me to on the couch being petted. She also loves walks. We go for a walk in the morning after breakfast and in the evening after dinner. She typically doesn't need to use the bathroom between walks.

She is such a people dog; Lyra wants to be around them all the time and she doesn't know a stranger! She can be a little excitable when new people come over and will jump up on them but is learning quickly not to do that. Lyra has no exposure to children.

Lyra is a medium-energy pup that is mostly very laid back but has moments of energy around walk time. She loves walks and does well being exercised twice a day. Lyra pulls at the beginning of a walk when she's excited and stops often for sniffs but usually listens when I tell her to leave it.

Lyra is good with other dogs outside the home. She sees lots of dogs on walks and is usually interested in saying “hi” to them and is sad to keep walking. She hasn't been exposed to other dogs inside the home. She has no exposure to cats.

She does well when left alone. I crate her if I'm going to work for the day, but I let her roam free if I'm not gone for very long. She is starting to cry a bit if I leave without her but settles very quickly.

Lyra has been treated with a round of antibiotics for Anaplasma. She does not show any active signs of infection.

Lyra had a litter of 10 puppies about 2 months ago! She is the momma to Fetch adoptable puppies: Amelia, Sally, Chuck, Bessie, Orville, Chappie and Jeannie.
