Do you want to make a difference to a special community? Volunteer for Fetch! We rescue, heal, and find loving homes for dogs throughout the Midwest. Fetch operates solely from volunteer efforts, and is principally funded by donations, fundraising, and support activities. All kinds of roles are available ranging from events and activities to regular volunteer positions. Your support can make a difference!
Please note - all volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. Exceptions will be made for event volunteers who are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

VOlunteer opportunities available
Fostering
Our greatest volunteer need is always for foster homes. Foster homes provide a short-term landing pad for dogs transitioning from shelters to their forever homes. We provide the vet care, you provide the love. Learn more about fostering.
Transports
It takes a village to get a dog from the shelter into a foster home. Transports can range in distance from 50 miles to 1,200 miles, depending upon the transport. If you like to flip on a good podcast and cruise along the highway with a friendly pup in your backseat, this is your jam!
Dog Sitting
Fosters have lives and commitments, and sometimes need a volunteer to watch their pup for a few days at a time. This is great way to have a four-legged visitor for a short-term basis, and still make a positive impact in the life of a rescue dog!
event planning
Events are a huge fundraiser for Fetch, and we need diligent, thoughtful people to manage and run our events. If you love making a plan, executing on it, and coordinating volunteers to help run a successful show, we’d love to have you on our team!
business partner management
Love reaching out to community members and partnering to host fun events, run a fundraiser, plan a campaign, and more? If so, we’re looking for outgoing people to connect with our community and build partnerships that help drive our rescue mission.
Virtual Home visits
Every single family that applies to adopt a dog with Fetch has a virtual home visit. This is a critical step in the application process used to ensure that we find the perfect match for their furever dog. If you like to meet and connect with people virtually, this is a great opportunity for you!
