Xena was adopted on August 10, 2020!
Xena is completely fine sitting and lying around in the living room while I work, and has lots of energy when you're ready to play. We go for a short walk every morning and evening.
She is very friendly and curious to other humans, and likes playing with children. Xena has meet the neighbors 3-4 year olds and my 9 year old sister. Very young children may find her playfulness a little aggressive.
Xena can be a mix of low and high energy. She spends most of the day lying on the couch and playing with her toys alone, so when I'm off work she likes playing fetch and runs around the apartment. She's shown great improvement in walking on a leash, but she needs motivation to keep walking after she encounters a distraction. We go on two half hour walks a day. She loves to run too.
She loves meeting new dog friends! Xena has not meet a cat so we’re unsure how she’d do with cats.
Xena can spend hours in a crate alone no problem. If left alone in the house, she may start chewing furniture, shoes, and other non-toys. She is great when left alone outside in a fenced area with supervision.
Xena is the sweetest puppy. She could use some basic obedience training, but other than that, she's been a joy to foster. She enjoys car rides too.
