When you Wish upon a star...you will meet the sweetest princess you have ever met. With her beautiful black coat with white markings and her soulful eyes, she will melt your heart.

Wish is a true Southern belle who enjoys running around my fenced in yard whether she has the zoomies or you’re throwing a ball. She has learned to love the snow and will pick up pieces and throw them around or eat them. I keep telling her she doesn't need to do that as there is a pail of water in the house.

We’ve been working on sit, touch, look, off and leave it. She has the sit, touch and look down pat but still needs guidance for off and leave it. I have no doubt she will understand that with time. She is a younger dog, probably about two so consistent training will be the key to her success. Perhaps a basic training class to help her learn and provide additional socialization will help her reach her full potential.

She is super sweet, a little shy, loving and snuggly and will follow you around the house. She’s also playful and enjoys walks (still learning leash walking) and toys. She loves car rides and sits quietly looking around. She is crated during the day while I am at work. I have a friend that comes and gives her a potty break during the day.

She gets along well with my dogs and has met a few others, too. She loves kids and is very gentle and patient with them.

Because she is undergoing heartworm treatment, Wish is on restricted activity for now - think long, cozy naps; slow strolls in the yard; lots of indoor enrichment; lots of rest; quiet play and car rides. Her future family will need to follow her restricted activity plan and continue her treatment that is scheduled at our vet and will be covered by Fetch, but we will guide you every step of the way. She’s been a superstar patient and is expected to make a full recovery.

If you believe that wishing on a star will make your dreams come true, then come meet Wish...Are you the one to make her dreams come true?

Our Foster-to-Adopt program lets you ensure your new pup is the perfect fit before finalizing adoption. Fetch pairs you with a Foster Partner to guide you through vetting, support the transition, and finalize the adoption - or instead help find their forever home if needed. This option is available for select dogs and noted on their profiles.
