PUPDATE 2
Willow is ready to find her home! We’ve been working hard to test boundaries and have new experiences. We have worked on our leash manners and have been getting rid of the pulling at fuzzy creatures habit. The more time she spends with the cats, the more relaxed everyone gets which means more positive experiences with them! Willow’s listening ears have improved when distracted and we have done some working on a long lead/off leash. We have had more interactions with people outside the home and have only been positive. Taking her out in public is easy as she just looks to you for guidance on where to go next. Miss Willow would do best in a home with no kids under 12, but doesn’t seem to pay much attention to them when going by them on walks. She is a people pleaser and LOVES to cuddle. Are you looking for a best friend? Because if so, Willow is for you!
PUPDATE 1
Willow wakes up with me in the mornings, she goes outside to do her business then comes inside to have breakfast while I get ready for work. She hangs out while I'm at work, and when I get home she is SO EXCITED! We will play outside for a bit before going on a walk then eating dinner. She snuggles up next to me at night and sleeps through the night to restart the next day!
When we go on walks, Willow has gone past small children and has either wagged her tail at them or ignored them. Around adults she has been accepting, just takes a little bit to warm up to them.
Willow is pretty low/medium. She is happy to lounge all day but enjoys playing with my resident dogs and chewing on toys. She is good about keeping herself entertained along with getting along well with other dogs. We do go on a mile walk most evenings and that tuckers her out pretty well! She does like to keep an eye out for squirrels and bunnies, so walking with an easy walk harness has helped tremendously!
She does very well with my resident dogs, Willow plays with my boxer and respects my corgi's space. She is fine with my cats when they are relaxed but will chase if they run. She might do best with living with a relaxed cat or in a home without cats.
We have had no issues with her being on her own in the house. I come home from work and things are as I left them and things are not disturbed overnight as well. When we are outside and I step out of sight, she sometimes whines until she can see me again.
Willow tries to please, she does not like to get in trouble. She is the sweetest girl, loves to cuddle and be by her person! She is a hoot and does the cutest huffing noise when she is excited.
