Congrats to Ursi on her adoption January 4, 2021!
Ursi is a spayed female boxer/terrier mix that is roughly 15 months old and around 55 lbs. Ursi is a super sweet teenager who loves to cuddle and be near her humans. She is very smart and a people pleaser. She learns new commands and adapts to new situations quickly. Ursi is by nature a slightly nervous dog, but not high strung. We’ve been working on confidence-building exercises and she is making fast progress.
She already knows the basic commands such as sit and down and is working on place and stay. Ursi is an athletic dog and is going to need to get out and run on a regular basis. Because she is social dog, dog park is a great outlet for her abundant energy. She can be exercised easily by playing fetch and is becoming a reliable retriever.
At night, Ursi sleeps in her crate but she would prefer to sleep in bed with her humans. We allow her on the furniture, but could be easily trained out of. Because she loves to cuddle, it is hard to resist being on the couch with this adorable girl! She still has a lot of puppy perspective and will bless any new home with her positive energy.
She has interacted with a few young children but no cats in her foster home. She is not a chewer, but enjoys using her toys to interact with us indoors.
