Officially adopted on April 4, 2021!

Since her foster humans are working from home, Tori gets lots of walks every day and sleeps in between. She has spurts of playfulness in the morning and evening.

Tori loves her humans and bonds very strongly. When meeting new people, Tori needs to be introduced slowly; it's better to bring her to the new people rather than have the new people come to her to minimize a sense of threat. She is stressed in very busy and crowded areas like parks that have many other people and dogs running around.

She lives with a 7-year-old in her foster home and is great with him. She sometimes barks at children she doesn't know who are approaching her humans. Because she can be competitive for the attention of her humans and sometimes jumps to say hello, Tori would probably not do well with children much younger than 7 years old.

Tori is a medium-energy dog - she has moments of strongly wanting to play but can also spend the majority of the day lying on her human's feet. She does pull on the leash during walks but redirects easily since she's so attentive to her humans. Tori loves to run off-leash when she's in enclosed spaces - she would definitely prefer a fenced yard where she can race around and play fetch. Tori comes when called and is highly motivated to be near her people.

Tori's previous foster in Louisiana said she was okay with dogs outside of the home but should be an only dog. Here in Wisconsin, she met another dog in that dog's fenced yard and they played together nicely with no aggression. She sometimes barks at dogs she sees while on walks, but we haven't tried letting her interact with strange dogs in that setting.

Her foster home has two resident cats. Tori is respectful of them and typically ignores them.

Tori attaches very strongly to her foster people (foster mom in particular) and waits outside the door of wherever foster mom is.

Tori is so attentive to her humans. She will likely be very easy to train.
