Adopted on April 2!

Lady will wake up whenever she hears the first person in the house wake up. She will whine in here crate when she hears someone moving around, usually around 6:30am. She then goes outside to go potty and comes inside to eat breakfast. Lady will follow me around while I get ready and then spend the morning napping or playing with toys while I work from home. During that time lady has free roam of the house. She will sometimes stay near me in the room where I'm working, but other times prefers to lay in other places, like the cool bathroom floor, or play with toys in the living room. If she's not in my line of sight, I will check on her periodically. She has never chewed non toys or furniture, nor gotten into things she shouldn't. She much prefers to play with her toys over anything else. She is on a solid potty schedule and will whine or sniff around the door to tell us if she needs to go out. On a regular day, Lady will go for one short walk. Her evenings are spent napping and playing. After one final potty, she goes into her crate for the night around 10pm. She is getting much better at settling into her crate at bedtime.

She loves all people! When new people come into the home, she greets them at the door looking for love and pets. Outside the home is the same. As she is quite the cutie-pie, she gets lots of attention from new people when we are on a walk or out in the park and she loves it.

Lady does not currently live with children but has met quite a few kids during her time with us. She loves kids just as much as adults. When meeting children, Lady will roll on to her back for belly scratches. We live across the street from a school playground, and Lady loves to say hello to the kids at recess. She is not overwhelmed or scared by the noise and chaos that is recess time. Instead, she does whatever in her power to go say hello.

Lady is a low to medium energy pup. She is very content with one 30-minute walk per day. She does get puppy zoomies every once in a while, but they are still pretty tame. When her people are around, Lady is very low-key. She spends most of her day napping, playing calmly with plush toys, and chewing on her bone. Lady does love to be outside when given the chance. She likes to lay out in the sun. She would definitely enjoy a yard she could sniff around in, but for now she is content spending time outside on a leash. She really seems to like going for walks and does pretty well on a leash, but definitely gets distracted by all the new sounds and smells. She is still learning that she doesn't need to say hello to every person we come across.

She does not currently live with any other dogs, but I think she could really benefit from a home with other pups to learn from. Lady has loved the other dogs she's met. She does well when she can sniff the other pup out first. After introductions, Lady loves to play chase, tug, and wrestle with other dogs, no matter the size.  Lady does not have any cats in her foster home.

Lady has shown some separation anxiety. She doesn't like to be left alone. We have been practicing getting her more comfortable in her crate when we leave. Right now, Lady still has trouble settling alone in her crate and usually whines. She will need someone to continue this practice with her and help her understand that it's ok to be alone and her people will always come back.

Lady is such a kind and gentle pup, she also has the softest, fluffiest fur! She is ready to find a forever home that will help her grow from a sweet puppy to a great dog, could that home be you?
