January 7, 2021 marks Tisket’s adoption day!
Tisket goes out for her first potty break around 7am. She pees outside right away and then we go on a morning walk. After her walk, she eats breakfast and plays with her toys. She is a little crazy in the morning but will cool off quickly. The rest of the day consists of play, eat, rest, play, eat, rest. Around 9 pm, she goes in her crate for the night. Some days she plays with other dogs at the park across the street and she seems to really enjoy it.
She is generally sweet and likes to play and cuddle with the family. She prefers being around people and is quite social. Overall, she is friendly with people outside the home. She may have an initial bark, but then will warm up.
Tisket is better with older children, but our younger kids enjoy playing with her and for the most part she does just fine. She is still learning playful boundaries and is not aggressive.
She does well on the leash overall, but she still tugs and lags at times. Tisket needs a couple of walks a day. After playing with other dogs or taking a nice walk, she typically naps for an hour or two.
She likes to play and interact with other dogs. She wags her tail when she sees other dogs and is eager to chase them around and have fun.
Tisket has not meet a cat in her Wisconsin foster home. In Texas, Tisket would bark at the cat in her Texas foster home. She does well with turtles!
She is either in her crate at night or around the family during the day. She does not spend much time alone so we are not quite sure how she would be if left alone. But when we do go outside for five minutes, she will just nap or play with her bone.
Tisket is sweet and snuggly. She seems like she would make a good family dog, is content chewing a bone, and really enjoys being by people. Although it says she is a shepherd mix, we also feel that she might be a lab.
