Timber wakes up and is ready for her morning walk around 7 am. After her morning walk, she will eat breakfast and usually naps before her next walk around 12 pm. She will need guidance towards her potty spot but if she really has to go, she will take you there. She is a happy dog during her walks but if she is feeling shy, she will lay down and stop walking. With some treats and just a bit of patience, you can guide her to get up and keep walking. If she has not pooped, I always give her the benefit of the doubt by walking by her potty spots again before walking in the apartment. After her walk, she will eat lunch and hydrate and goes out again during her evening walk right around 5 pm. After coming back, she gets to play with our other dog for the rest of the evening and goes out one last time before going to bed around 10 pm.

In a closed setting, like an elevator, she gets very excited and will wag her tail while she's sitting. She tends to jump on people if she is really excited but we are working to correct it. Timber loves pushing herself towards your legs and will do this at home as well. Timber has not been exposed to children.

Timber is usually calm and likes to snuggle by herself. She loves going for long walks but tends to get tired and tries to lay towards the end of them. We are working on her leash manners since she is very curious and tends to pull a lot.

She lives with another resident dog who is also the same age as her and they are allowed to play in the evening once we get back from work. If they get too rowdy and don't respond to verbal commands, we will separate them and let them relax for a bit. Otherwise, they love to wrestle and spend time with each other. When Timber encounters other dogs, she either lays down and is very attentive to the other dog or will try to pull and sometimes barks/growls. We have noticed that if she smells the dog, she usually doesn't bark, but this is not always the case. No exposure to cats.

If left alone for a short period of time, she will be fine and usually naps or plays with whatever toy we leave her with. If you plan on leaving her for a while (not crated) make sure that she cannot reach anything because she will be curious and bite on anything she can.

Timber is very food motivated and gets very excited to the point she can't sit still. She is shy at first but she warms up quickly and once she does she is the most loving dog and is the biggest sweetheart! She loves our dog and would do well with another dog in the home. She gives the biggest smiles too!
