T'Chaka wakes up and goes out with his brother, T'Challa, and his foster brother, Clyde, around 8am. Then they all come in and eat and then play for a while outside. He still naps a couple times a day along with getting outside to run around a bit and playing with the other two dogs. He and the other dogs eat dinner about 5pm or 5:30pm. They will play and go out about two more times before going to bed around 10 pm. He goes willingly into his crate now at bedtime like a good boy and sleeps through the night.
He loves to play chase with his brother T'Challa and foster brother Clyde. They will take turns "stealing" a favorite toy then chasing each other around the house or even outdoors. He is absolutely a snuggle bug and gives lots of kisses. He still loves his naps and will be happy to be curl up on or next to you. He does love to explore on walks and meet new people and dogs. T’Chaka also likes to play with neighbor kids and people of all ages.
He loves kids and plays with them easily. He is very gentle, and their giggles encourage him to be playful. He hasn't been around babies or kids younger than 4 years old.
T’Chaka has the energy of a typical puppy and loves to run and play. It won't take too much time to get him tired out and ready for a nap. Then he will be up and ready to run around and play again. He is used to roaming in our back yard but does pretty well for the most part on a leash too.
He loves all other dogs he meets even if they aren't so sure they love him. He loves our dog and of course his brother T'Challa. He will be submissive to dogs that are more assertive willingly giving up food, toys, or treats if another dog wants them. He is definitely not aggressive but more docile and sweet. T’Chaka has not been exposed to cats.
T’Chaka will whine and cry for a while before eventually settling down. He has some separation anxiety when left completely alone. We continue to work on crate training and he is getting better about not having accidents.
He would do best in a home with a family or another pet or somewhere that he will not be left alone for long periods of time on a regular basis. He is still young enough to adjust to being left alone but would thrive in a home where he is not left alone too much.
