🐶 Typical Puppy!
✅Tate is a typical, fun-loving puppy.
✅ Tate and his 2 siblings were dumped out in the country. They were picked up by county animal control. There is no actual shelter, so strays are kept in kennels at the county jail.
✅Tate almost never has an accident in his crate and he holds it to go outside. He would do great with a doggy door.
✅Low rider
Tate is a fun-loving low-rider who is ready to find his fur-ever home!
At 6 months old, Tate has spent most of his puppyhood in foster care and is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He has not had many accidents inside since getting into a good routine, where he is let outside about every 3-4 hours. When the humans are away at work or class, he settles into his crate and can be left alone for up to 5 hours at a time. Sometimes, he will express some discontent with being left alone, but when he is given a peanut-butter-filled kong or chew, he is pretty calm and quiet. While he will let you know when he's awake in the morning (usually ~7:30am), he does sleep through the night in his crate just fine.
Tate has lived with other dogs, cats, and animals like chickens and goats and has done great with all of them! He loves to play with other dogs and, due to his submissive nature, would likely do well with dogs of all sizes. He does not have much of a prey drive with small critters, like squirrels, and ignores them when he sees them on walks.
Tate still has some puppy energy and loves to play, but is also content snoozing by your side. He does not need a long walk or long play session everyday (which has been super helpful during this cold weather!). He is very good at keeping himself busy with his toys and happily does indoor enrichment (snuffle mats, treat puzzles, etc.) with the resident dog on colder or busier days.
Tate has been a great houseguest and we have loved having him around! He is very sweet and has the funniest wigglebutt. He will make a great addition to any household!
