Autumn is a playful, affectionate 14-month-old retriever mix who is ready to find her forever home! With her medium size, medium energy, and loving personality, she’s the perfect balance of fun and cuddles. If you’re looking for a dog to join you on walks, entertain you with her antics, or snuggle up on the couch after a long day, Autumn may be your girl!
Autumn’s typical day entails meals in a puzzle toy, crate time while I am at work, and 1-1.5 hours of walks throughout the day. In the evenings, she switches between: snuggling on the couch, supervising the kitchen, trying to engage my dog in play, parkouring off furniture, and playing with toys until she is crated overnight from 10 pm- 6 am (she is happy to sleep in on weekends).
Autumn is good with other dogs; she politely greets them on walks and likes to wrestle with friends. She does well with my dog, but she does get jealous when my dog receives attention, so she would do best as the only dog or with a submissive dog. I think she would enjoy dog parks. She is good with cats but would want to play with them (in a friendly way).
Autumn is always excited to greet new adults! She is unpredictable with children and should not be in a home with them.
Autumn is potty trained and waits by the door staring at you when she needs to go out.
Autumn is very treat-motivated and excited to learn! She happily goes in her crate for a treat. She is still working on manners such as jumping up for attention and giving nibbly kisses. She walks with a front-clip harness to prevent pulling and rides well in the car. She is quiet and unbothered by apartment living.
Autumn would love to be the center of attention and accompany her people on adventures. She also requests couch privileges and lots of squeaky toys!
