Sugar Snap Pea was my first foster dog and could not have been more wonderful! She is a very well behaved puppy who likes to be around others, play with her toys, and take lots of naps throughout the day. Although very playful she is also extremely calm for most of the day.
She LOVES people! Both the people that live in our home and others that she meets. She is never shy and is super friendly and outgoing towards others.
Although there are no children in our home, she has met several children who have come to see her and does very well with them! She is super playful and loving towards them. The only thing to look out for is the teething because she is a bit nippy at some times of the day.
Although Sugar Snap Pea is a puppy and of course has her bursts of energy throughout the day, for being a puppy she is extremely calm. We take her on short walks throughout the day because she is still getting the hang of the leash. We make sure to give her lots of play time, especially in the morning and then intermittently throughout the afternoon to keep her energy levels satisfied. Her most playful times of the day are first when she wakes up in the morning and the middle of the afternoon.
Sugar Snap Pea has not had much exposure to other dogs since she just got her shots and was spayed. She has not had any exposure to cats in our care.
We have been crate training her and she has been doing really well. Since she is not potty trained, we put her in the crate when no one is home. I normally just put the TV on so she has some background noise. She knows not to go potty in her crate and it has become a place of comfort for her.
Sugar Snap Pea really is the sweetest puppy who just loves to be with people! I think she would do really well in most homes.
