Updates

Sugar wakes up at about 6 am for a quick potty break and breakfast and a walk at 6:30 am. Upon returning home, Sugar plays and naps until around 11:30 am. She gets a small snack at 11:30 am followed by a quick potty break/walk. Dinner is served at 5 pm followed by a longer walk (home by 6:30 pm). Sugar likes to cuddle in bed and takes one last potty break at 9 pm before heading into her crate for the night.

Like many rescues, Sugar has had a couple of potty accidents in the house but overall is not a huge concern.

Sugar is a super friendly, sweet, cuddler. She is very good with strangers and doesn't bark.

Sugar has been wonderful with our children. Loves to play and cuddle with our 7 and 10 year old.

Sugar has medium level energy. She requires 3 walks a day on a leash and while she does pretty well in a city with a lot of distractions, she can be a strong puller when she sees squirrels. We feel Sugar would benefit from a fenced-in yard to run around.

Her experience with other dogs is limited to outside walks. She was friendly with a smaller dog. Former foster family said she was good with other dogs.

We have skittish cats who are slow to come around to Sugar because she gets very excited to see them. We think that she would do well with cats and former foster family said that Sugar was respectful to their cats/kittens. We think she could free roam when humans are gone, but we haven't let her due to cats in the house.

Sugar is crate trained and does fine when left home alone in her crate. She is outside of the crate all day while I work from home and she does well.

Sugar is a sweetheart. She loves to nap with her owners and will do well with a family with a space that allows her to run around.
