Sprout’s typical day includes exploring in our backyard, stretching out for a nap (especially when humans are available for snuggling), and her favorite – playing with her foster dog brothers, wrestling and playing keep away with toys.
From the moment we brought her home her sweetness has shown through. She loves attention in any form – playing, walking, or just some good belly rubs. Sprout can be timid with new people but warms up quickly, especially with reassurance from the people she’s familiar with.
Sprout’s energy follows the energy around her. She’s always up for a walk or wrestling with her brothers but is also happy and content lounging around for mid-day naps. Sprout has enjoyed our daily walks and with continued training will walk like a dream on a leash.
Sprout instantly took to her foster brothers, both large breed dogs. They helped her come out of her shell quickly and give her confidence when meeting new people. She does bark when she encounters a new dog, but out of excitement to meet them. I believe Sprout will do best in a multi-dog home. Sprout has had no exposure to cats while with us.
She is still potty training but is on track for a puppy her age. Sprout waits by the door when she’s ready to go and when let out consistently, has no accidents in the house. She sleeps through the night without needing potty breaks.
Sprout has only been left a handful of times while we were in another room of the house, as we are currently working from home. She settled quickly in her kennel and was content to stay there.
