Updates

Spencer found his home August 31, 2021!

Spencer gets up around 7 am every day and is let out, we feed him then typically take him for a walk because I work from home. After about a mile walk, he sleeps at my feet. He will normally relax with me until someone else comes along, which is towards the end of a work day so we take him for another walk, eat, then run a bit more in the back yard.

He does great with other dogs!  He was at a big event where he was around other dogs and people, interacted with all mentioned above and showed no sign of aggression. Spencer is really just a happy go lucky pup, excited to make new friends!

His only major interaction with kids was when I picked him up from the previous sitter who had a 2-3 year old girl, she mentioned that he was great around her.

Spencer is great on a leash! I would recommend walking him at least once a day so he will relax and not sprint/spaz out in the house. One or two small walks is really all he needs.

He's met a friend’s dog who interacted great with him outside and inside. Spencer hasn’t met a cat in his foster home.

Spencer needs to be kenneled, mostly because he doesn’t know what all to chew on and is not all the way house broken yet. He's gently chewed on a shoe, sandal or remote until he was told no, then left them alone (and hasn’t tried again so far). Spencer doesn’t make a noise once kenneled!

Spencer is a very smart dog who will need continue training on basic manners. Potty training will be a must that any adopter should expect to work through.
