Updates

Slayter found his forever home on July 15!

A typical day for Slayter is he wakes up around 7am then he gets breakfast and goes outside. Throughout the day about every hour or two I let him out for a potty break or a short walk. He eats dinner at around 5pm. Then goes to sleep at around 9pm or 10pm.

Slayter loves everyone he meets!  He has not met kids yet.

Slayter is medium to high energy and will need to live with an active owner/family. He is doing pretty good walking on a leash. He will need to have space to run around and play.

He likes to play with other dogs. He does need to learn boundaries with dogs who do not want to play with him. He has growled at another dog who got close to his food so he is slightly possessive of food. Humans can easily take away any food or items she should not chew on. Slayter has not met a cat.

Slayter is usually supervised as he does chew on non-toys and isn't potty trained.

He barks at times in the apartment when bored and needs space to run. No apartments for little Slayter.

He has a grade two heart murmur that the vet recommended monitoring. Slayter does not show any signs of congestive heart failure. It’s recommended adopters discuss the condition with their vet. Slayter may still outgrow this heart murmur or he may have it the rest of his life. He’s still a very young pup!

Slayter is a sweetheart and will be a great dog for an active owner/family who is willing to train him! He would enjoy a good puppy training class.
