Siri is fostered in a multi-dog home along with her sister Uno. Siri and Uno will be adopted out individually.
Siri gets up at 6 am, goes outside to potty. She is not fond of the dark, cold mornings and needs to be coaxed out. She is learning to adjust over the past week or so. She eats breakfast and then plays with her sister and my resident dogs. She usually needs to go out about an hour or two later to potty again. She snoozes a lot in the morning. If I am gone, she is in an open crate with a pen. Occasionally, one of them has an accident in the pen. She is still working on potty training. All the dog activity is sometimes distracting when she is outside and then remembers to potty once she comes in. She may also prefer a warm potty spot. This is a work in progress and puppies rarely fully potty train before 6 months. She likes rewards for going potty outside! We take them out after a nap and try every 2-3 hours throughout the day. She naps on and off through the day with the other dogs and plays or chews during her awake times. She rarely chews on non toys and will pick toys out of the dog toy box. She likes antlers. She eats at noon and again at 6 pm. She is VERY excited about meal time!! They potty and play again after dinner and then she snoozes from about 8 pm until bedtime at 10 pm.
Siri greets people enthusiastically when she knows them. She is a more cautious with new people. She is a great snuggle bug once she gets to know you. She was scared going into the vet’s office but warmed up to the vet and staff quickly. New situations are scary but she never responds with any aggression. She is a very young puppy who has experienced a lot of change in her life and needs patience and love to grow to be her most confident self.
Siri plays with my 6 year old grandson and likes pets, belly rubs and love from him. She gives little kisses. She likes to play with him but will also go lay down with a toy when he is not interested. She sniffed my 1 month old granddaughter and then laid by me on the couch and slept. She was curious but respectful.
Siri is low to medium energy as a puppy. She plays outside and inside with other dogs. My dogs tend to get her ramped up and she often takes a break from them. (I have a 9 mo puppy that is energetic about playing). She will submit if one of the dogs gets annoyed with her. She likes to play tug with you and likes good chewing toys. She naps a lot throughout the day and is usually asleep on the couch by me at 8 pm. Siri’s first harness trial was going to the vet after a week with me. We have not worked much on leash training. She is not fond of the cold so when it warms up, she may be more receptive (her foster mom agrees).
Siri loves my dogs and wants them to play with her. My 9 month old pup is very accommodating. My 4 year old dog likes limited interactions on his time and my 11 year old Golden Retriever likes to nap with them. If they need a break from my dogs they are easily separated to the crate and puppy pen with good toys to distract them. I can also pull her over next to me and she snuggles in for attention and calms down.
Siri has had no exposure to cats.
Siri and her sister, Uno, share a crate and pen area. They sleep or chew on toys when I am gone. I have a camera to monitor their activity. They are quiet and settle down quickly. At night, I leave lullaby music on low to provide comfort and relaxation. They sleep through the night. If I am home and she is in her pen, she may whine a bit for attention but settles down with reminders
Siri is a super sweet pup that loves her people and other dogs. She is a young puppy that would benefit from someone who is patient and provides her with multiple opportunities to try new things over and over until she is comfortable with them. She likes to please and building her confidence every day.
