Charlotte wakes up around 5 am for a trip outside; she then stays in her crate from about 6 am - 2:30 pm while her foster family is at work. After work, she goes for a walk before playing with her foster sister and relaxing and napping throughout the evening. Currently she doesn't have set mealtimes and prefers to eat when she is hungry.
Charlotte is still learning to trust other people. She can be shy meeting new people, but once she's comfortable she will let you pet her and play with her. She will bark at first and hide behind her foster mom. Once she's learned she can trust you, she is very friendly. She trusts her foster mom and will cuddle with you, while giving and showing her some love. Charlotte prefers children to adults right now; she will approach them right away and let them pet her.
As a small size pup, she has a lot of energy. She likes to play fetch and to run around the house to be playful. She is still working on the leash, because she is so small. She gets tired quickly. Most of the time, she will hide behind her foster mom when she walks on a leash; the world can be too big for Charlotte. She will need some help to learn that the world is not so scary.
Charlotte likes to play with her foster sister pup. They play really well together. They cuddle and also share their treat with each other. With other dogs outside, she is still working on her trust. She usually hides behind her foster mom for the first introduction and barks a little bit, then she will start to sniff them. She does not live with cats in Wisconsin, but her southern foster reports she did well with them.
When alone, Charlotte is crated. She has been trusted to free roam for about an hour at a time without an accident or becoming destructive. Charlotte is a good pup who is still learning to trust. She needs someone that will work with her to trust the world and show her the love that she deserves.
