Sage wakes up around 6-7 and goes out for a quick potty break before breakfast. She enjoys some play time outside after breakfast before going to her crate. She has been crated between 1-7 hours a day with no issues. In the afternoons, she likes to play outside, chew on bones, play with our resident dog, and nap on a comfy dog bed. She is a calm girl! Sage loves a bones filled with pumpkin or peanut butter. We’ve also given her a frozen Kong with peanut butter inside when crated. She prefers to hang out near her people and may follow you around the house if she can’t see you from her comfy dog bed.

Sage loves ALL people! She loves to receive pets and will often lay down and nap while receiving them. She is soft and well behaved. She’s met children as young as 4, with no issues - she is very gentle with little humans. As long as they pet her, she will love them! She does well with loud playing and with toys being taken away from her. She gently takes treats and will share her breakfast/dinner with the other dogs/cat.

Sage loves to play in the snow! She enjoys a small amount of exercise and play time. She prefers play time followed by a nice nap. She walks well on a leash and comes when called. She follows redirection very well.

She barks at other dogs when outside in our fenced yard. She likes to run the fence line with our neighbor’s dogs, one is a Fetch alum! Sage is patient with anxious dogs and those with more energy.

Sage likes our cat. They are respectful of the other’s space and share treats and food. Sage is very tolerant!

Sage will quietly rest in her crate when we are gone. She was left to free roam once for about half an hour. She got up on the counters in the kitchen and into the trash. I think with more time and training, she could eventually free roam. She needs to learn she will always have a meal and doesn’t have to search for one any longer. Sage barks at noises. Being a larger dog, she does have a louder bark. She could probably do well in an apartment that is quieter or one with good sound proofing.

Sage is just the sweetest girl! Everyone she meets loves her!
