Runa wakes up around 7am and I let her outside. Typically I like to bring her on a long walk in the morning (typically 45min-1 hour) to get some of her energy out. Then I feed her breakfast after the morning walk. Then when we get inside she usually plays with her toys and then will settle down next to me while I work. Then around 11:30am we go for another long walk. I feed her dinner at 5pm and then take her out for another walk (around 30-45min). I live in an apartment and she is a pretty high energy dog so she needs the exercise. This is why I would recommend having a big back yard or a park near by where she can run around.
On walks Runa gets a bit distracted. She will stop if she sees a bus coming her way or anything that makes loud noises. She also will stop and stare at other humans and dogs. I live in downtown Madison and I know she will do a lot better on walks in an environment that isn’t super noisy. However once she gets going on a walk she is very good on a leash. She likes other humans and likes other dogs but she can be a little unsure at first. When people come over she is a little shy but will warm up to them after a few minutes and let them pet her and roll over for a belly rub. However, strangers on the street she is a bit wary of. She is a super sweet dog and never barks or growls at any dogs or humans. I am unsure about cats or children since she has not had exposure to them.
Runa is a typical puppy and sometimes will grab shoes that she knows she is not supposed to chew on. However, she is very good at letting me take them from her and she leaves them alone after that. In terms of potty training she is really good about always pooping outside on walks however she has peed many times in the apartment. This is not her fault because it takes a little bit to get downstairs to let her out. If she is in a home where she has access to a back yard she should be potty trained in no time. Because of quarantine, I rarely leave her alone but she is pretty good at going into the kennel. Sometimes she needs a treat to get her in there and she cries for a few minutes but then she settles down. She is super good at night in her kennel.
