PUPDATE 2

Maggs has been getting very good at sit and has improved her leash manners a ton. She warms up to people over time, even some men & loves having other dogs to play with.

PUDPATE 1

Maggs wakes up around 8 am and we take her out to go to the bathroom.  Sometimes we go back to sleep for an hour or she has her first meal (she loves a little egg in her food in the mornings) and goes to the bathroom again before a morning walk. After that she sleeps and plays with her chew toys while you need to do any work before an afternoon walk again or take her to the park where she loves to chase you, sniff around the grass, and enjoy the sun. The evenings consist of another meal, playing and laying around the house, and a final outdoor activity to use up all that energy before bed where she loves to snuggle.

She is very shy with new people at first and will probably run to somewhere she feels safe or can hide, but once she warms up to you, she is the most loving and loyal dog. She is not a huge fan of men and may growl or bark at them but has not bite anyone. We are unsure how she would do with children as she’s a shy gal.

Maggs has medium energy typical of a puppy as she sleeps a lot during the day especially after a good walk/run but is lively and playful when you engage with her. If given a nice open field or not too populated running area, Maggs loves to sprint and sniff around.

She seems to be good with dogs and wants to say hi to them. Maggs won't play with them much and she just lets them sniff her. She has not meet cats.

Maggs is a very scared girl when left alone and will probably take shelter in her crate, a closet, or somewhere else she feels comfortable until you return. Alternatively, she has a pretty good history about being potty trained and will only go on the potty pads or outside.

She is not the biggest fan of men or loud/sudden noises and movements. I think she would really benefit from a female owner living in a more residential area and a home with a backyard as she is frightened easily by the amount of cars, students, and commotion of living in the heart of UW-Madison's campus but loves the outdoors and exploring when less people/cars are nearby.  Maggs is looking for a quiet home and a loving family!
