Updates
PUPDATE 2
All of the neighbor kids are completely baffled that Ms. Rosie hasn't found her forever home yet. She is so sweet with them and they all love carrying her around.
She can be a vocal little thing so a home without shared walls would probably be best for her. She is vocal mostly when playing but will also voice her concerns when outside in the pen without a human and when she wants to get out of the pen inside.
She loves her people and loves to give and receive affection. She is playful, silly and hilarious to watch play.
We have been crating Rosie at bedtime and she has been doing well. She settles in quickly with her snuggle pup with one potty break overnight.
Rosie is now 11 weeks old and 9.5 lbs. She will likely be 25-35 lbs when she is full grown.
PUPDATE 1
Rosie was born in foster care to her very houndy mother, Boots. She has spent the last few months learning and growing with her littermates and is now ready to start auditioning people to be her forever family. She is wrapping up some basic vetting and will be ready to join her new home on August 6th. Rosie was born 2nd in a litter of ten and has a bit of an independent streak but she also has strong opinions and will let you know what she thinks. She is a bit of a spitfire and is hilarious to watch play.
Rosie is a very typical puppy and learns new things every day. She has been highly socialized with humans (both adults and kids), dogs and a cat. She loves to be outside as long as there is a shady spot to crash if it is too hot/sunny. We have started some leash training and but Rosie will still need lots of practice on leash to develop wonderful leash manners. We have started some crate exposure and a potty schedule as well. She currently spends most of her days, playing and wrestling with her brothers and sisters and checking out what is new in the toy rotation. She is very playful and is always eager to approach new friends.
As a young pup, Rosie will need help adjusting to life away from her littermates. She will also need guidance with potty training and crate training. Like a typical puppy, she loves to chew on things (busy growing teeth) so she will need close supervision and basic obedience training. She is only able to go a few hours between potty breaks so will need an owner with flexibility in their schedules to accommodate that or that has someone willing to help out with potty breaks.
This little love will make a great addition to just about any family!
