Updates

PUPDATE 2

Poppy continues to live each day to the fullest. She is really looking forward to finding her forever family to spread all of her fun energy into their every day lives.

Poppy is hard to get photos of bc she is an on the move little pup so most of her pics are just blurs.  She would be a great pup for dog friendly activities and adventures.

She loves her people and often jumps up with her paws on her human' laps for attention and pets. She loves doing big jumps off the slide in the yard and zipping around with her siblings.

We have been crating Poppy at bedtime and she has been doing well.

She settles in quickly with her snuggle pup with one potty break overnight.

Poppy is now 11 weeks old and almost 12 lbs.  She will likely be 30-40 lbs when she is full grown.

PUPDATE 1

Poppy was born in foster care to her very houndy mother, Boots.  She has spent the last few months learning and growing with her littermates and is now ready to start auditioning people to be her forever family.  She is wrapping up some basic vetting and will be ready to join her new home on August 6th.  Poppy was born eighth in a litter of ten and has a bit of an independent streak.  She is probably the highest energy of the group and loves to zip and zoom around the puppy pen.  She is typically the last one to putter out after playtime.  She is a bit of a busy body and likes to hold off on the snuggles until she is sleepy.  She is a bit of a spitfire and is hilarious to watch play.

Poppy is a very typical puppy and learns new things every day.  She has been highly socialized with humans (both adults and kids), dogs and a cat.  She loves to be outside as long as there is a shady spot to crash if it is too hot/sunny.  We have started some leash training and Poppy has done well.  She is pretty easy to keep moving along and seems to enjoy checking things out.  We have started some crate exposure and a potty schedule as well.  She currently spends most of her days, playing and wrestling with her brothers and sisters and checking out what is new in the toy rotation.  She is very playful and is always eager to approach new friends.

As a young pup, Poppy will need help adjusting to life away from her littermates.  She will also need guidance with potty training and crate training.  Like a typical puppy, she loves to chew on things (busy growing teeth) so she will need close supervision and basic obedience training.   She is only able to go a few hours between potty breaks so will need an owner with flexibility in their schedules to accommodate that or that has someone willing to help out with potty breaks.

This little love will make a great addition to just about any family!
