Updates
Rosco is a happy, sweet dog. He sleeps in until we get up, usually early morning, then outside to potty, breakfast, playtime with the resident dog, a short walk and then to his crate for a few hours when we are away. Then outside again for potty/another walk and an afternoon chewy snack. He likes to play with his toys, then nap for a bit. Dinner around 5 pm, another short walk or outside to potty before bed around 9 pm.
Rosco is good with people in and out of the house. Friendly with everyone, some jumping but sits nicely when given the command 'off'. Rosco has not interacted yet with children while in our care.
Rosco likes to interact with other dogs and play with toys as a medium energy dog. He will run around with other dogs in play. He does great with other dogs both inside and outside of the house.
Due to potty training, Rosco is crated when we are gone but not more than 2 hours. Otherwise, he free roams the house when we are home and does well.
Rosco was positive for Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease, in early June but is not showing any clinical signs. A positive result for Anaplasmosis just indicates antibodies to this bacteria, not necessarily active infection. Per our rescue protocol, he is currently being given a round of antibiotics.
