Delilah is very well behaved, loyal, a good listener and can do basic training commands. She is incredibly loving and would be the perfect dog for someone who really likes to bond with their dog, let her sleep with them, etc. She is very loyal and would become really bonded with the right owner. She is somewhat high energy, so she would do best in a home with a fenced in backyard or someone who has a lot of land. She responds well to a loud voice or command - if she gets a little too excited sometimes, where she seems too hyper or gets to zoomies and starts running over the other dogs, I yell "No!" and she will calm down instantly. When we first got her, she would push the doors open to run outside on her own. We think we have trained her to stop doing this now, but it's something to be aware of..

Cane Corsos tend to have a higher prey drive, so this is not a breed that should be taken to a dog park, left to run off leash in more populated areas and/or be unsupervised around small children. She does very well with other dogs, but chases the cats in her current home, which is why she is being surrendered. We use a gentle leader on her when she walks or sometimes she pulls. She gets very excited when she sees squirrels, birds, rabbits, etc. on our walks. She will usually start hopping and want to follow them.

Delilah loves people and human touch and likes to rest her head or paws on people and lay next to or on her owner. She does well with kenneling and stays in a kennel while we are at work during the day. She loves cuddling on couches and dive-bombing into pillows. She is a sweetheart!
