Updates
Rocky sleeps in the bed overnight very easily. He goes on a walk immediately after getting up and then every 3-4 hours after that until right before bed again. He dozes most the rest of the day and will occasionally play with a toy and often looks for pets and scratches. He eats once in the morning and once at night, and will follow anyone with food around like a shadow.
He loves all people once introduced to them, but will alert you to and be timid with new individuals. Outside while on walks he is equally as timid but also very curious about people. He has never exhibited any aggression towards anyone. He has not had exposure to children while in my care.
Rocky is a medium-low energy pup, surprising for such a young dog. He doesn't enjoy going on long walks at the moment given the cold temperatures so we tend to go on 4-5 ten-minute walks a day.
He is super curious about other dogs outside the home and whines as he wants to go say hi to all of his friends once he sees them. He has not had exposure to dogs within the home.
He has not had exposure to cats while in my care.
When left alone, Rocky tends to whine at first and then settle down into a nice nap. He will chew on a toy for a bit as well.
Rocky was positive for Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease, in January but is not showing any clinical signs. A positive result for Anaplasmosis just indicates antibodies to this bacteria, not necessarily active infection. Per our rescue protocol, he was given a round of antibiotics.
All that Rocky wants to do is cuddle and eat food. He is an adorable, sweet boy who is very ready to find his forever home.
