PUPDATE 2
Ripple continues to patiently wait for her forever family. She has lost a couple of pounds since her first update. She actually has a visible waist now and improved energy. Ripple likes to run around in the backyard more frequently but I would still say she is a lower energy dog. She also will chew on dog toys from time to time, which is new for her. She has been getting along great with my two other dogs but still has no interest in playing. The dogs peacefully coexist. Ripple prefers to be a lap dog that gets lots of pets.
PUDPATE 1
Ripple is a sweet little pup searching for her forever home. She is a low to medium energy pup. She runs around a little bit in my yard but is generally pretty lazy. Her favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and be petted as much as possible. She is crate trained and sleeps in the crate at night in my bedroom. She does seem to have some separation anxiety and will bark nonstop if crated without humans around. If I let her free roam alone, she doesn't bark but she will sometimes have accidents indoors. Ripple gets your attention to go outside by standing at your feet and barking. She responds to the name Suki!
Ripple was a bit nervous the first couple days in my home. She is a submissive pup that will roll over on her back if she's uncertain of your intentions. I think she would do best in a quieter home without young children because of her nervous tendencies. After she gets to know you, she is happy to jump up in your lap and is very friendly. Ripple does well with my two other dogs in the home. She doesn't seem to care if the dogs are around or not. She doesn't try to play with them. I haven't seen her around cats. She doesn't try to crew on anything and doesn't have destructive behaviors. She doesn't seem to care about toys. She walks well on leash. Ripple is an easy going pup that will be perfect for a laid back person or family.
Ripple tested heartworm positive several months ago, now finished treatment, and has a clean bill of health. Ripple still needs to lose a few pounds from her required rest during heartworm treatment. The vet noted Ripple could use a dental in the next 1-2 years due to tartar accumulation.
