Updates

Raphael was adopted on November 10, 2020!

Raphael usually wake up between 6-7 am and eats breakfast, then goes for a walk to potty and play. He will typically potty multiple times in the morning and may eliminate in the house if not given enough time outside. After the morning walk, he will play with my dogs and me for an hour or so, then take a long nap. After his nap, we will go for a shorter walk and get a treat when coming back home. The play, nap, walk cycle occurs 3-4 more times during the day with a 2-4 hour extended nap in his crate. Around 6 pm, he has dinner and goes for another long walk with multiple potty breaks. He will play with the dogs and me and go for 1-2 more short potty walks over the next 3 hours, and then go to bed in his crate with a treat around 9 pm.

He tends to stay close to me while awake or napping. Raphael is very playful but doesn't make a lot of noise. Sometimes he will chew on my shoes or pants leg and/or jump on me, although these behaviors are quickly corrected with a "no" and a nudge.

Raphael has not met kids and cats in his current foster home.

He is very high energy and loves to play with people and dogs. Raphael loves to walk with a leash and stays very close to me.

Raphael loves playing with other dogs both in and out of the house, including light wrestling and chase. He is timid to scared around unknown dogs.

He is quiet when left alone in his crate for 2-4 hours at a time. He starts barking if he hears me close by to his crate, but he is fine if in another room of the house.

Raphael likes to chew on dog bones and tennis balls. He responds well when another dog corrects his behavior.
