Ranger is a playful puppy that loves toys and being around his people! He is fully housebroken and crate trained. He knows how to sit and I have been working on training him on the “down” command so he will jump off someone’s lap or couch when told. I crate Ranger during the day and he sleeps with me at night; however, his last foster said they worked from home so he was free during the day and crated at night and that worked for him as well. I take him on a walk or run every morning that’s about 30-45 minutes and we play for a bit before he gets crated for the day. He listens to “no”, “hey” and his name and responds very well. My yard is not fenced in but after about a week he was allowed to be off leash in my yard and whenever he was close to the edge I called his name and he turned right around and ran back to me. There are a lot of deer and squirrels in my area and he does not bark at them but is fully alert when they are in his sights. When he first meets new people he does bark as he is very protective of his people. If they give him a treat he happily takes it and the new person becomes a new best friend. He is an incredibly sweet and friendly puppy who is loyal to no end and food motivated. He would make a wonderful addition to any home.
