Puddin's day starts out with the joy of being let out of the crate to get some good belly rubs and pets. She loves to relax with you in the morning, her favorite chair is a recliner and she puts her arms up on the arm rests. When it's time for breakfast, she will give the most adorable hops of excitement. She loves food! She is still learning typical phrases like "do you want to go outside" but looks to her buddy, Colby (resident 8 year old lab), for how excited she should be about what we said. Puddin currently enjoys short walks to the park but is limited in activity due to heartworm treatment currently. She seems like she would love longer walks. She spends the days relaxing and knows a few commands such as sit, down, shake, and wait (waits to eat treat on the ground). As she is so food motivated, she picks up on new skills fairly quickly.
Puddin tested positive for Heartworm upon arriving with Fetch. Her last treatment injection was 4/18/23 and she will have competed her cage rest and can be adopted after 6/13/23. Additionally, Puddin is in need of a dental and umbilical hernia repair which can not be completed until she has tested negative for heartworm. Fetch will cover the cost of surgeries if scheduled with our vet or will reimburse a set amount of scheduled with the adopter's vet.
Puddin has had appropriate interactions with all dogs she has met, although she hasn't had the chance to get out and meet many due to her heartworm treatment and needing to stay calm during it. She enjoys low energy interactions with dogs for the most part. Although she can be playful once in a while, she is mostly content to lounge around.
Puddin has one front foot which is a little deformed potentially due to a previous break. This does not hold her back too much. She uses joint supplements and fish oil omegas due to this.
Puddin loves all people she has met. She also loves her foster dog brother, and tends to follow him around. She plays a little, but she mostly enjoys lounging around taking naps near her favorite humans.
