Congrats on Pecan’s adoption September 30, 2020!

Pecan wakes up in his crate around 6 am to potty and get breakfast. He loves coming out of his crate in the morning to greet the other dogs and his humans. After breakfast and potty time, Pecan either plays with his doggie brothers, snuggles with mom, or settles in for a nap. Because he's a young puppy, Pecan goes out for potty breaks every three hours or so during the day. He gets a snack around 3 pm and then eats dinner around 6pm. His day is filled with playtime, naps, snuggles with his doggie brothers, and potty breaks until bedtime around 9pm. Pecan wakes up one time overnight to go out and potty. Otherwise, he stays quietly in his crate from 9pm-6am!

He loves to play with everyone! He got to meet a 3-year-old and thought she was so fun! He got toys, snuggles, and even a treat. He was the best boy! Pecan thinks visitors are really great but can be a little shy at first.

Pecan is a typical puppy. He likes to play hard with his foster brothers, but he also crashes hard for naps. Pecan has a big backyard to play in and loves to explore. He likes to play with humans in the house too. Since Pecan is so young, he doesn't have a lot of practice on a leash. This is something he will need some training on as he gets older!

Pecan loves all other dogs, but he can be shy at first until he gets to know the other dog's signals. He's also very good at reading other dogs. One of his foster brothers loves to wrestle and doesn't mind getting walked/laid on, while the other does not like that kind of affection. Pecan quickly learned the difference and approaches each dog differently now. Pecan has not yet met a cat.

Because Pecan is so young (and he's teething), he goes into his crate when his humans can't supervise him. He goes in willingly for treats and snuggles down for a nap quickly. Pecan does bark when he hears a loud sound and if he sees another dog/human walk by outside, so his crate is away from windows.

Pecan has never lived without another dog before, so he might need a little time to adjust if he does become an only dog. We're certain he'd settle in and enjoy all the extra attention, but he might be a little confused at first. Other than that, Pecan is the sweetest, most adorable puppy out there!
