PUPDATE 2

Hi, Nightingale here! I recently enjoyed a long weekend with a sitter; when my foster mom picked me up, I couldn't run to her quickly enough! I learn my humans very quickly, and when I meet my furever family, I promise to always have a wagging tail and enthusiastic kiss for you when you come home! Back home with my foster fam, I settled into that routine just like I'd never left. My foster sister wasn't interested in playing with me, and my foster family wanted to catch up on these things they called "computers" but, no problem! I kept myself entertained with my favorite toys for a few hours, putting myself in my crate or stretching out under the coffee table when I wanted a nap. I'm most content if I'm in the same room as you, but I love just playing on my own, too!

PUPDATE 1

Nightingale -- although she prefers Stormy, Stormy Night, or Storms (the name given to her in her previous foster home that has stuck) -- is a happy, bouncy, energetic puppy. She loves playing with toys -- stuffed and squeaky, especially -- and can keep herself entertained for hours. But, if given her way, she'd love to have another playful puppy to share her home with who can keep up with her enthusiasm.

She sleeps contentedly in her crate until her foster family is ready to get up. If she has another puppy to play with, she loves to play and wrestle for hours, until they collapse into a puppy snuggle pile for a nap. If not, she enjoys a life of walks, runs, ample toy playtime, and is content in her crate if her humans are busy or away from home.

Nightingale hasn't met any children in her foster home, however hasn't been bothered by those we've encountered around the neighborhood. She is a happy-go-lucky, playful puppy; interactions with children should be closely monitored. Due to her love of playing, slightly older kids may suit her better, but as long as appropriate introductions are done and supervision provided, I think she could coexist with younger kids, too. She has a very gentle personality; she just loves to play!

Nightingale is a typical, high-energy puppy. She loves to play, play, and play some more! Once she's expended her puppy energy, she's ready for a nap. She also enjoys a long walk or a good run; for her age, she walks fairly well on a leash, although is a curious puppy who's interested in everything the world has to offer. She prefers to stop and stare rather than pull you towards whatever has caught her eye, however, at a consistent pace, she's more into the activity than her surroundings.

She hasn't met any cats while in her foster home, but if you have cats, Fetch can cat test her and let you know how things go. She does have a bit of a desire to chase small animals, however, so on that note, cats may not be the best fit overall.

Dogs, on the other hand, are her favorites, and the more playful the better! She does have a bit of a rougher play style, so dogs who can keep up with that are best. She's met a handful of dogs in her foster home and immediately hit it off. Nightingales’ only quirk is she's learning there are plenty of food and treats to go around; thus, all food and treats should be fed separately. She's never lashed out at the other dogs in her foster home if food is involved, just gives a low growl. And while on the subject of food -- she requests puzzles and slow-feeders to eat from -- she actually doesn't know what to do if her food is served in a "boring" dish! She loves the challenge of earning her meals. This also makes her incredibly easy to train!

Stormy Night is a young puppy and still has the typical curiosity that comes with being a young puppy. :) She's crated when left alone or unsupervised and she doesn't mind this arrangement in the least.

Her ideal furever family will have an active lifestyle, a desire to continue her training and keep up with her quick mind, and maybe even a young, bouncy, playful canine sibling looking for a pup to keep up with!
