Patches found her furever home February 13, 2021!

Patches is the most loving dog I have ever met! She is very obedient, loyal, smart, and would benefit from someone who is able to keep her active and loved.

Patches is taken out for a walk and potty first thing in the morning. After her walk, she is fed. During the day, she naps on the couch or her bed. She loves to sit and watch out the window too. Patches is taken outside for walks a few more times throughout the day, fed dinner, and taken out again one final time before bed. She has shown zero interest in toys but loves treats and rawhide bones.

She is very timid and shy around new people but once she warms up to you...she is the most loving, sweet, and gentle dog. Patches has done well with the roommates and a few friends she has met.  Patches has no exposure to children.

Patches has a medium energy level. She loves to nap and cuddle with her humans, but also loves to be taken on many walks during the day. She is almost perfect on a leash, stays right by your side and rarely pulls.  Patches loves to explore and is getting used to the colder, snowy WI climate.  She wears booties during our walks to keep her paws warm.

She is fine with dogs when out on walks, does not bark and usually does not get distracted. Patches has no exposure to dogs inside the home.  She has not met a cat yet.

The vet prescribed a month of antibiotics to treat Ehrilichia although she has not shown any clinical signs.  Patches should be kept on year-round flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Patches whines and sits by the door when left alone. She would rather be around her people but stops whining after some time passes.  She is very clingy and loves to be next to her people all day long. Patches rarely barks and has only barked a couple of times when spooked. She is doing well with city noises downtown.
