Updates

Nick's favorite days are the ones where he goes for walks, wrestles with his foster brother dog, chews on bones, with frequent naps in between! He loves to hangout in the backyard, sniffing and relaxing.

Nick is timid when he meets new people, but warms up quickly and will melt into them in order to get maximum pets. He is more comfortable meeting people in the home than passerby while on walks. He has not had exposure to children while I’ve been fostering him.

Nick needs a lot of daily exercise and when he's tired, will nap for several hours. He enjoys going on walks and playing with toys/his foster brother dog in the backyard, and is learning leash manners.

Nick is timid and submissive when meeting new dogs, but warms up quickly and wants to play! He will freeze when he sees other dogs during walks, but has improved in the two weeks we've been working on getting used to outdoor stimulation. He has not had exposure to cats while he’s been with me.

Nick is crated when left alone - he does great at night, whining only occasionally. During the day he shows signs of mild separation anxiety in his crate by excessive drooling and chewing on blankets.

Nick would be a good dog for a beginner dog owner - very affectionate, attuned to people, and easy going. The owner would need to ensure he gets enough exercise daily - he will whine at night in his crate if he doesn't burn off enough steam during the day.

He would be OK in an apartment as long as he is able to get enough daily exercise. He loves hanging out in backyard, playing with toys and wrestling. He plays hard and then sleeps hard - great snuggler.
