Updates
Nelson is getting acclimated to the world and getting more comfortable each day. When you first leave him in the crate he whines for a bit but eventually relaxes and has been left alone in his crate for up to 5 hours without issue. No issues sleeping through the night, but he does get let out each night around 2am to go potty as he is still young and working on housebreaking.
Nelson sleeps in his crate and then gets up around 6am. Goes potty, and is then mostly free-roams while his foster works from home. Because Nelson has been so well-behaved (mostly only chews on appropriate toys, doesn't jump on furniture), Nelson is only crated when his foster cannot keep an eye on him. Nelson loves to play with tennis balls, chew toys, go for walks and see new sights and smells each day. He gets especially playful after walks! Nelson settles down to sleep around 9pm.
Nelson warms up very fast to new people and has met children between 10-13 years old and did great!
Nelson is a medium energy pup who loves to play but can also settle appropriately and loves to snuggle.
When he meets a dog on a walk, he is a little nervous at first and then may warm up to the other dogs depending on the other dog's personality.
Nelson is currently used to being with his foster most of the day and would do best in a home where he wouldn't be alone too much. Nelson is a very well behaved puppy learning more each day (currently working on "sit", "stay" and "come").
