Natalie found her family on December 4, 2020!
Natalie gets up early, potties, eats, plays and walks. After a few hours, she is ready for a morning nap. She then plays and naps throughout the day and repeats the morning routine about 5 pm. She will play and snuggle until bedtime about 9 pm. She crates easily at bedtime and mostly sleeps through the night. Occasionally she will need to pee once in the night but then goes right back to her crate.
Natalie is friendly and alert. She is happy to meet people, doesn't mind being picked up by kids or adults, and likes to snuggle when she's sleepy.
She does well with children. She has played with the neighbor kids ages 3-10 and does fine interacting and being held. She is active and will want to fetch, tug, and interact.
Natalie will need exercise! She will be on her best behavior if her exercise and thinking needs are met regularly throughout the day through walking, playing, and interacting. She is NOT a couch potato but does love to snuggle once her exercise needs are met.
Natalie currently stays with her foster dog brother and resident old lab. She and her foster brother love to romp and play. She would like the resident dog to play with her too but if he ignores her, she moves onto other fun and doesn't keep pestering him. She will likely do fine with any dogs if socialized and introduced appropriately. She has not met a cat.
At night, she crates easily, no crying only the occasional wine. During the day she is with her brother in a playpen with toys and a potty pad which is rarely used. Her potty training is strong but not finished yet. She doesn't cry or fuss when left in either environment but would prefer to be near her humans if possible.
Natalie has an overbite so she may require dental work around 5-6 months old. The canine teeth might require extraction or capping once her adult teeth have erupted.
Natalie is a great puppy who will need training and boundaries to be her best self. She's super sweet and will love her humans!
