Mousse found his forever home on June 15, 2022!
Mousse wakes up at 5:45 on the dot (much to our dismay), does his morning routine of pottying/eating and goes in the kennel for about 2-3 hours. Mousse is intermittently in the kennel throughout the day for a couple hours due to work schedules and then back out for dinner/nighttime routine and in the kennel no later than 9 pm for bed.
Mousse loves all people and is interested in getting to know everyone! Mousse has been with toddlers and is uninterested in them; mostly just explores alongside them. He has, also, been with elementary aged - high school aged children and loves them all. If you are ready to play, he is.
Mousse is medium to high energy; when his sister is ready for a nap, he usually has about 10-20 minutes of play left in him. Mousse has been on the leash a few times; he has a neutral relationship with the leash but very trainable.
Mousse does well with other dogs; he’s a little hesitant initially (probably due to size) but warms up in minutes and is ready to have another companion to play with!
Mousse is interested in cats. The cats Mousse has met have been VERY uninterested in him. He is respectful of their space while still showing curiosity in them.
Mousse will cry loudly for approximately 5-20 minutes when put away and then throughout the day if he is left in there during the workday. Based on this, I would suggest he is not an apartment dog unless with the right fit.
Mousse is a happy-go-lucky, goofy dog. He’s very smart and he is always down for a good time. Would be great (probably have an easier transition) in a home with another dog but not necessary.
