When Mosby arrived at our house, he settled in immediately. He went right to the toy bin and proceeded to prance around holding and showing off each and every toy. He loves toys! He hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors, although he did also prance around holding a shoe (but was easily redirected!)
He is SMART. In less than 24 hours he learned his name and has suspiciously good recall for a puppy.
Mosby is friendly and confident with new humans and in new situations. He has met kids and did great, but should be supervised around younger kids as he does like to jump up to say hi - and he’s a big boy! He loves playing with other dogs and has been friendly and playful with all dogs he’s met. He’s working on picking up cues when playmates don’t want to play anymore. Our 8 year old resident dog who isn’t impressed with any of our fosters took to him right away, and morphed into a puppy again while they were playing. We think he would love Doggy Daycare. He hasn’t been around cats in our care.
He goes into the crate without issue, but may make a few squeaks and peeps before settling in. He sleeps in his crate through the night (from about 10pm to 6am.) I think he would also happily accept an invite to sleep in the human bed, as he is quite the snuggler and loves to be around his people.
Mosby is a great work from home companion. He alternates between entertaining himself with toys and sleeping (preferably on your leg) although sometimes his adorable snores and grunts may make you want to log off and join him for a nap!
Potty training is coming along, and I think he’ll catch on in no time. He’s eager to please and loves positive reinforcement.
Mosby is such a special puppy and will make his new family so happy. He spent his entire freedom ride from Arkansas practicing his sweet puppy dog eyes, and can’t wait to win you over with his adorable face, wiggly butt, and loving personality!
