Meet Edna! She's an absolute snuggle bug that wears her heart on the tip of her nose and can't wait to show you her favorite toys.

Edna's favorite days are when she gets to do endless zoomies in the snow and then warm up by playing with her plushies and chew toys while curled up on your lap. Once her puppy energy is spent, she loves to lay down for a good nap for a couple hours. She's extremely affectionate with all of her humans and will trade kisses for head scratches, ear rubs, and booty scratches. She'll even give you little hugs with her paws! She would spend the whole day showing you her favorite toys and snuggling in your lap if she could! She's the sweetest little soul and is so excited to meet her best friend!!

When Edna entered foster care she was recovering from a spinal injury and internal injuries. She's been treated and has made nearly a full recovery - she can walk, run, play, and vault over our entire couch! She sometimes has a little bit of stiffness in her hips and can't wag her tail too much due to residual nerve damage, but she doesn't let that hold her back - she loves playing with other pups and doing tons of zoomies! Edna currently needs support for ongoing incontinence as a result of her previous injury. She wears diapers when she is free roaming indoors to prevent any accidents and at night, she uses a waterproof pad in her crate while she is sleeping in case she has any leaks. Aside from her incontinence, Edna's injury won't have any impact on her future - her injury has fully healed meaning that she does not need any medication or medical support and she is expected to live a very normal life. Her injury does not make her prone to additional complications and will not have any impact on her lifespan.

Edna's typical day includes sleeping quietly all night until her humans are up and about, which is generally sometime between 7:30 and 9:30am. She goes outside, has breakfast, plays a little bit, and then goes outside for post breakfast zoomies. Weather permitting, she plays outside with some other puppy pals until everyone is tired out. She then comes inside for plushy and tug toy time while her foster human works until around noon, when she takes her afternoon nap. Typically she naps for a couple hours, and wakes up in time for dinner, outside zoomies, and more play time with her humans after work. Once she gets tired and all her puppy energy has been spent giving and receiving love, she goes back into her crate with a fresh pad for the night around 10:30pm.

Edna is the sweetest little pumpkin with the biggest heart. She's looking for a home with someone who can support her, will be patient with her as she explores her world, and will accept her endless affection and puppy hugs. She needs a little extra support compared to the average pup but she's incredibly easy to fall in love with and she's the perfect mix of spunk, cuddle bug, and wiggly love.

One note about Edna’s daily care needs: caring for her does not incur substantially more cost than any other dog! She eats typical puppy food, does not need any medications or procedures, and, while her reusable diapers & washable crate pads have the initial cost; they last hundreds of uses. Plus, you'll receive a hefty starter pack of reusable supplies from her foster parents to get you started. If you have a special place in your heart for the sweetest girl with a few special needs, consider making Edna a forever part of your family!
