Morgan found her people January 23, 2021!

Morgan wakes up at 5:30am ready to go! We open his crate and head outside right away for a refreshing morning potty break, then go back in to get breakfast and have some playtime. Morgan LOVES playing! After about 15 minutes of playtime, it's time to go potty again and then he's set to take on the day! He usually plays hard in the morning for an hour or two, and then he's ready to take his first nap while mom gets ready and does some cleaning. When mom starts work at 9am, Morgan goes into his crate to stay safe, and he usually naps while mom works. He gets a 20-30 minute potty break, playtime, and snack around 11:30am and 2:30pm, and then mom's all done around 4:30pm and he gets all the snuggles and playtime he wants! Morgan eats dinner around 7pm and heads to bed between 9-10pm. Because he's so young and has a little bladder, Morgan does need a potty break around 2:30am, but he goes out, comes back in, and settles down in his crate right after.

Morgan thinks people are pretty neat and will happily greet them at the door. When he's sleepy, Morgan likes to snuggle into his people to take a nap. Morgan isn't shy when it comes to asking for pets, belly rubs, or playtime with his people.  Morgan hasn't met any children yet.

Morgan is a typical puppy in that he has bursts of high energy where he wants to chase, tug, or wrestle with people or other dogs and then he crashes into naptime after using up all his energy. Morgan does sometimes try to push through is tiredness (much like a toddler), so he benefits from having someone read his sleep cues and guide him to a restful place like his crate or a dog bed. Once he realizes he won't miss out on playtime, he falls right asleep!

Morgan can be shy with other dogs until he understands their boundaries. He currently lives with one of his litter brothers and two foster brothers who are older and bigger than him. Now that he's learned how his foster brothers like to interact, he approaches them and invites them to play with him in appropriate ways. Morgan quickly learned how to read signs that other dogs are ready to play or not interested. He'd do equally as well in a home with doggie brothers or as a solo doggo.

Morgan has not met any cats.

Morgan is teething and working on potty training, so he is crated when he isn't being supervised. Morgan willingly goes into his crate and lays down to chew on a safe chew toy or nap. He is used to being crated for 2 2-hour segments during the workday with a 20-30 minute break in between for potty, snacks, and energy burning activities. He is also crated at night from 10p-2:30a and 2:45a-5:30a.

Although he can have spurts of energy, Morgan is one of the calmer puppies we've fostered. He's easy to train and to redirect when he's doing something we don't want to encourage (mostly, being mouthy because he's teething). Morgan would be a great dog for a beginner dog owner or a family looking to add a furbaby into the mix!
