PUPDATE 3
Molly was a very happy girl after getting groomed today!! Her bubbly, silly personality has been coming out more and more every day. Everyone at the pet store wanted to meet her and the groomer said she was “prancing” after her blow out :)
PUPDATE 2
She is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle! Molly recently got most of her teeth removed so we didn’t see her true personality until recently, and we were very surprised when she started showing us who she really is!
Molly is older, but she still has super cute bursts of energy where she will want you to chase her around the house. I haven’t been able to get her to sit or lay down on command, but she will show off her clapping and spinning tricks for food!
Now that Molly has been on an antibiotic, she has way less accidents in the house and will wait to go outside most of the time.
She is so very sweet and loves to be picked up and snuggled (once she gets used to you). She takes a couple days to really open up to new people.
Molly is 100% the alpha dog even though she is only 7 lbs! She bosses my 70 lb Doberman around and he lets her. Especially if she is laying by a human and he comes near, she will bark at him so he goes away. She might want to be an only dog because she is a princess, but she’s good with other dogs who allow her to be dominant.
PUPDATE 1
Molly wakes up and goes potty outside right away. Then she’s ready for breakfast. Molly sleeps most of the day and will want to be near you during that time!
Molly is great with people! She warms up right away, but then goes back to sleep. She has no exposure to children.
She is a low energy senior who sleeps most of the time and doesn't like to be outside for very long. Molly walks well on a leash, but likes to be carried more.
Molly is fine with other dogs. She is definitely the alpha and puts my 70 lb dog in his place! Her southern foster noted Molly would chase cats so she’ll need a cat free home.
She is great when left alone as she hobbies on catching a good nap!
Molly is a wonderful dog and is very sweet and cuddly. When she finally opens up, she will show you her tricks like jumping in circles for treats!
As an older dog, Molly does have some health conditions that will need monitoring. She does have a grade 2-3 heart murmur but is not showing any signs of heart failure or stress at this time. Bloodwork indicates she may also be in early stages of kidney disease. Prescription kidney diet and continued monitoring for progression will be needed for Molly. She is currently on an antibiotic for a UTI so may need to have that rechecked with the adopter's vet depending on the timing of her adoption.
Molly would be great for a first time dog owner that wants to help her live out her golden years! Aside from the occasional accident, she is great with anyone she meets.
