Say hello to little Miss McMuffin! She’s an adorable pup who is a lot of fun. She’ll play for a quite a bit, then crashes in a dream-filled nap.
McMuffin slept through the entire night the other day. There are days when she wakes up twice during the night. She is taken outside to address her needs and immediately settles back in to sleep in her crate. Her normal routine: wake up between 6:30 – 7 am, go outside, eat, follow my husband and I around while we get ready for the workday, morning nap with our resident dog, and repeat until around 10:30 pm when she goes back in the crate for the evening.
During the day she joins me in my home office to play and nap. She also makes guest appearances during virtual meetings with my colleagues.
McMuffin can be vocal for a few minutes when she goes in her crate during the day. She is happy to go in the crate at night because she’s usually tired after a day of activity with our resident dog.
As you can imagine at three months, her baby teeth are sharp. She only nips during playful sessions with humans and canines, but it doesn’t last long as you redirect her with toys and yipping, so she learns what isn’t acceptable.
We’re working on potty training and tend to let her out every hour or two to avoid accidents, but they still happen as we can’t follow her around throughout the day.
As a Texas girl, she wasn’t a fan of the cold weather though she’s spending more time exploring the fenced-in backyard during the warmer temps the past week. I anticipate she will continue her path to more independent journeys in the yard during the next few weeks.
Little Miss McMuffin is a thoroughly social pup. She loves meeting new people and especially loves napping on them! She is always excited to play with her tiny squeaky toys and will occupy herself with them for long periods of time.
