Maisy wakes up around 6:30 each morning. She goes potty before going on a 45 minute walk through the neighborhood. She eats her breakfast on a busy mat for some extra mental stimulation before napping while foster mom works. She plays with the resident kids and cats during the day and does best when she has another 45 minute walk in the evening.
Maisy loves people! She is a very happy pup and is always excited for pets. She's never showed any aggression or fear towards a human. She's had the chance to play with kids 7-10 and has done really well! Especially loves cuddling the 7 year old. She occasionally gets a little mouthy but she's getting better.
Maisy is a high energy dog! She is on her best behavior when she's had a lot of activity! If not walked, she barks a bit more and looks to get into trouble (finds shoes or throw pillows to chew on). She has excellent leash manners for a puppy! She uses a harness and heels great without pulling on the leash. We're currently working on not weaving back and forth.
Maisy has loved meeting new dogs! She get's very excited to meet a new dog on a walk and always wants to play! She's not easily deterred even if the other dog isn't as friendly or excited as she is. We have two resident cats and Maisy has been great with them. They walk right by her, lay on her crate, and she totally ignores them. Only every once in a while does she try to get them to play with her.
Maisy has been crated when left alone. She barks for 1-2 minutes initially but settles down quickly and does great in her crate for a few hours.
Maisy is a great puppy. One of my favorites ever! She's high energy but super smart. Learning commands so fast. Great with kids, cats, dogs, great on a leash, great in her crate, potty training has been super easy. She'd be such a great addition to any family!
