Lucky little Lulu found her furever family on September 1, 2020!

Her name was Lulu, she was a show dog. With brown spots in her hair and chew toys she will tear... Meet Lulu, formally of Cococabana fame, but now just a dog that wants to be loved as much as possible. Lulu is the type of dog that makes you want to sing silly songs about her, and you can’t help but laugh at her antics. Don’t let this big softie’s bark scare you – she is super snuggler. Lulu’s days consist of a lot of playing with her foster housemates in the back yard, mainly chasing each other or playing tug, and then falling asleep in the sun or on your lap. At night, she sleeps in a dog bed in the bedroom – she currently sleeps from around 9 pm until 5:15 am. Once we let her out to use the bathroom, she goes back to sleep in the morning.

Lulu is continuing to learn leash manners. When we encounter strangers, she will pull and bark because she wants to greet them. We have transitioned to an EasyWalk harness and bring lots of treats on the walk to bring her focus back to us. Lulu is very strong, so it will be important to continue to work with her on leash manners as well as her basic obedience. She knows to sit for pets and to have her leash put on at the door, but sometimes needs gentle reminders. We’d probably describe Lulu as medium/high energy, but she is still a young pup, so that could change. We haven’t seen her with kids, but expect she would love them. Due to her size and playful energy, kids who love big dogs and kisses would be the best fit. Overall, Lulu has been a wonderful addition to our pack—she is a super sweet ham that would love to become your best friend.
