Updates

Luke gets up at 8 am for his first potty time, aside from his 4 am potty time in the middle of the night. After this he has breakfast and a fun playtime activity to get his energy out. I usually opt for fetch, which he is working on, but he also likes to run by my side sometimes. He then will go for a nap before lunch and repeat this cycle of potty, playtime, meal time, and then nap time throughout the day, with some extra potty time sprinkled in. We will also be incorporating 2 shorter walks in the coming weeks.

Potty training is moving much more quickly now. When Luke receives treats for going outside he gets very excited to do his business outside.

He absolutely loves any and all people. Both inside and outside of the home, Luke loves meeting and spending time with people. He tries to meet everyone he can when he goes outside and loves to receive lots of pets. He can get very jumpy when meeting new people, but this is the only thing to watch for. We've been working on his overly friendly greetings, providing lots of love and treats, but only when 4 paws are on the floor. While Luke loves time on the bed for cuddles, he prefers a seat on the floor next to you when on the couch!

This is a high energy dog that requires lots of walks and play time. Chew toys are his favorites and is also beginning to learn to fetch! His leash manners have gotten much better. He is used to his front facing harness and does not like to walk using only his collar.

Luke really prefers to have people around him and can get lonely. He is crate trained, but does whine for a minute or two when it's time for him to go back. He would not be able to free roam, unsupervised. Luke is always looking for something to do, which can lead to natural but destructive behaviors. Very important to play with Luke as he gets bored by himself, even with lots of toys! You are what he's most interested in.

Luke is a very friendly and energetic puppy whose main priority is his play time, or anything to do with running, but most importantly, he really just wants you!
