PUPDATE 1
Lucee spends the night and some of the workday in her crate, where she is very well behaved. She enjoys going on walks, playing with her foster sister and fetching any toy she can find! She also enjoys cuddling with her foster parents at night before going into her crate. She is currently taking medication for dormant Lyme disease with her morning and evening meals, which she does well when the pills are hidden in a pill pocket. She also has to take occasionally baths to help with a small rash like skin condition between her shoulder blades.
She loves to be around her foster parents when they are doing tasks but is very good at not being underfoot. She likes engaging in play and cuddling inside and outside. Lucee is not always aware of her size and sometimes thinks she can fit in places that she cannot. Mainly on top of her foster parents’ laps.
Lucee has limited exposure to children, but reactions to children while on walks has been positive.
Lucee has puppy energy and needs daily exercise. She currently goes on walks every day and plays fetch outside for about an hour. She is very excited and tends to get distracted while on a leash. Although she is getting better, she would need some leash training before moving to a retractable leash.
She interacts very well with her foster dog sister! She loves playing with her inside and outside of the home and is great at listening to her sister's needs. She is not possessive with food or objects. Lucee has seen and acknowledge our cat, but basically ignores her.
Lucee is crated during the day and does very well. She mostly sleeps and only whines when she hears us coming. While her foster parents are working on other tasks, she is able to entertain herself with toys and general exploration, but she does like to stay close.
She is currently taking medication for dormant Lyme disease with her morning and evening meals, which she does well when the pills are hidden in a pill pocket. Lucee is currently receiving treatment for a skin issue. Treatment consists of oral flea and tick prevention, medicated baths, cleansing wipes and ointment.
Lucee is an absolute sweetheart who would be a wonderful addition to any family! She is a bundle of love and energy who just wants to play and snuggle with you. She has brought a lot of joy into our home and although it will be hard to say goodbye, we are excited for this adorable girl to find her forever home!
