Bubbles found his happily ever after May 12!
PUPDATE 2
Bubbles continues to be the sweetest pup ever! She is so warm and so gentle. She is getting better every day at potty train and would likely sleep through the night if we didn’t have another foster pup that had to go out more often. She gives kisses to everyone including other dogs. She sits when asked and will come most of the time when we call her name. She really warms our hearts and if we could keep her we certainly would.
PUPDATE 1
Bubbles gets let once a night to go potty. She then starts to stir at about 5:30 am for breakfast/potty break which is when we generally get up to start our day. She immediately goes outside, comes in to eat, and then she heads back outside to finish her morning business. When that’s all done she spends the rest of the day playing with her foster pup brother until her next nap or feeding time. Bubbles is really chill for a pup and enjoys to just go with the flow.
Bubbles has been receptive to people she meets outside kids and adults alike. She is patient and doesn’t mind the energy level of little kids. She enjoys belly rubs from the adults and will turn her belly up towards just about everyone for a nice rub. When she encounters dogs, she either barks and lunges a bit or shies away. She would need slow intros outside of the house with dogs she meets.
Bubbles loves the kids ages 3 and 8 years old! She gives a million kisses and she is so gentle. At this point, she hasn’t shown the typical mouthiness of a puppy. She just wants to play and sit with her human kids and adults. The 8 yr old considers her ability to kiss on command one of her super powers along with her willingness to get big hugs!
Bubbles likes walks and to run around the yard but in the home she is fairly laid back. She will chase her foster pup brother and play tug-o-war but a lot of her time is chilaxin’ and snugglin’. She is fine on her leash and will pull at times or lunge when she sees another dog but she is still young and has lots to learn.
She is super great with her foster pup brother who is much smaller then her. Bubbles seems to know her size in relation to the other pup and doesn’t play too rough. She doesn’t have as much confidence with dogs outside the house so more exposure and positive reinforcement of good doggy manners will go a long way for this area of socialization. Bubbles has not met a cat.
Bubbles hasn’t been left alone without the company of another canine companion. She will bark a bit when we leave but tends to calm down within a matter of minutes. At night when it is bedtime, there may be a little whining but she settles down fairly quick in her crate that she shares with the other pup.
There is something about Bubbles. She is a gentle girl and intuitive. She is a dog that has a sensitivity towards her humans emotional state and will respond accordingly. She sits before she is asked and will sit on command. She aims to please, she aims to be loved and hugged and kissed. She really has a lot of love to give. She is continuing to work on potty training. She has come leaps and bounds but will need support in this area. I feel she will also need a lot of support with the transition to another home as she has developed a quick bond with all of us and her foster bro. I have no doubt she will warm up and attach to her forever family but it may take a bit especially if she is the only dog. If you are looking for an intuitive, smart and loving dog and willing to have some gentle patience with the areas she needs support on she is the right pup for you!
