Harry is a sweet guy who loves to spend his time playing hard, giving lots of love and crashing hard for naps. He has a great personality and is going to make a loyal companion.

Harry loves to be social. He is a bit timid around strangers walking by the house but once he realizes they are not a threat, he loves to greet them. He is very friendly with all of us in the house.

He loves being around children. Currently, Harry is being fostered with kids ranging from ages 2 to 14 years old. We have taught our toddler to say "off Harry" and typically Harry responds after jumping once or twice. Any small children will need to be supervised around him because he jumps and sometimes gets excited if kids are running or playing.

Harry is a high energy puppy. He will need lots of exercise, walks, and puppy playtime. He is still learning to walk on a leash without stopping. Harry has high anxiety in the car or in any situation where he is unsure what to do. Exercise and positive reinforcement have helped a lot with his whining and uncertainty. Lots of exercise will be a key component for Harry to maintain a balanced mind.

Harry LOVES other dogs. He is being fostered with his sister and they wrestle, play, and run around together. He interacts very well with our resident dog. He is a bit shy with bigger dogs, but once he gets used to them, he plays appropriately and takes cues from other older dogs well.

He has met one cat and was scared of him (cowered under legs). He would need a slow introduction to a cat and time to learn about them.

Harry is crated with his sister when he is home alone. He cries/whines/barks loudly for about 15 minutes in the morning, but then settles down. He is crated during the day for up to 4 hours at a time. I let him out on my lunch break for potty and playtime, then he is crated for another 4 hours. He usually plays all night and then goes to bed in his crate around 9 pm. He cries/whines/barks loudly for 5 ish minutes, then sleeps. I get up to let him out around 2 am for a potty break. He then goes back in the crate and cries for about 10 minutes before settling in until the morning (6 am).

Harry is a fun-loving guy who is looking for a stable, loving home that can work on potty training, give him exercise and be ready for lots of love and snuggles. This Texas transplant is ready to become a permanent Midwest resident!!
